Conference theme: “Problems of studying and disseminating of Uzbek classical and contemporary literature on an  international scale”.
Conference focus: Uzbek literature has an ancienthistory and plays a specialrole in the development of human civilization. Uzbek literature has matured on the basis of national values for centuries and nowadays it has become one of the most unique phenomenon embodying modern, advanced views and historical traditions. In this respect theinterest of foreign scholars to national literature has been growinganditservedas basic resources for a number ofmaster and doctoral dissertations done in the world universities. Moreover, the Uzbek language and literature are taught as the main subject in many universities around the world.
This international conference is aimed at establishing close cooperation with foreign scholars working on classical and contemporary Uzbek literature,translating examples of national writings into foreign languages, forgathering of ideas and thoughts related to the history, present and future of Uzbek literature, acquainting foreign specialists with achievements concerning modern national literature.

The objectives and tasks of the conference:
— to enrich and strength literary relationships between countries;
— to confer about the problem of literary translation from Uzbek into foreign languages;
— to promote directions using modern ways as well as means of researching and disseminating Uzbek classic and contemporary literature on an international scale;
— to implement collaborations on investigating samples of Uzbek literature, keeping in the world library, on the purpose of researching Uzbek classic and contemporary literature on an international scale.
— to inform the world community about the level of development of contemporary Uzbek literature;
— to make certain proposals to evaluate of international cooperation in the literary sphere.
— to inform international community about large scale measures to restore and enrich the national spiritual values in the country

The Committee welcomes papers on any – related topic. Suggested topics may include:

• International experience in the field of literary translation and training high-level literary translators;
• Contemporary approaches in the world literary studies.
Submit abstracts by May 20, 2018.
Accepted abstracts will be announced by June 1, 2018.
Authors of accepted papers will beinvited to present their work at the conference sections. In addition, the papers will be published in the book of abstracts and will be available on the UWU Web Site prior to the conference.
Guidelines for Submission:
Articles no less than 10 pages with abstract 100-150 words in English, including positions, affiliations, email addresses and mailing addresses for all authors. Times New Roman 14pt font size, single-spaced.

Submissions will be evaluated by a peer-review committee.
